I love baking homemade dog biscuits and I often give them to all the family dogs at Christmastime … and a few of our neighborhood favorites too!  This year, I thought it would be fun to package holiday dog biscuits up with a couple of free printable tags with a punny dog theme … and I’ve included them in this post so you can print them out and send a little treat to your favorite pups too.  {Are you a cat lover instead?  Make a cute mason jar gift for your favorite cat lover and include a batch of homemade cat treats!}

Three Ingredient Dog Biscuit Recipe

To make these easy three-ingredient dog biscuits, you’ll need

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 eggs, and
1 small jar of pureed baby food in a flavor your pet will love.

I used banana baby food for these biscuits but you can see all the other varieties I’ve made by clicking the links at the bottom of this post.  {As with any recipe for your pet, check with your vet before introducing any food into your pet’s diet.}

In a bowl, mix the ingredients together.

I like to use disposable gloves to mix the dough together rather than a spoon.  It’s just easier to get the ingredients really combined.  {Disposable gloves are a must in my kitchen … they make mixing meatloaf and other messy combinations so much better!}

dog cookie dough

The dough for dog biscuits is much different than regular cookie dough. It should be quite dry and firm, not sticky. If your dough is sticky, add a bit of flour but don’t add any water even if the dough seems really dry.

Roll the dough out to a 1/4 inch thickness and use a shaped cookie cutter to cut the dough. I usually use a dog bone cookie cutter but for holiday biscuits a star or tree is cute!

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, depending on the size of the biscuits.

If you really want to add a festive Christmas touch, try my gingerbread dog biscuit recipe and pair it with these tags!

    How long and what temperature do you bake the Holiday Dog Biscuits? Instrutions jump from rolling out the dough to 1/4 inch to putting in a cellophane bag. Help please.

      Thank you so much for pointing that out … I have no idea how I left that out! I’ve just updated the recipe. 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
