mason jar gift for a cat lover

This gift idea is so simple but so fun for the cat lady {or man} in your life!  I started with a large mason jar and used my cutting machine to embellish the front with a cat treat motif.  The mason jar itself is part of the gift and can be used to hold cat treats when the rest of the contents are removed.

I covered the plain metal lid with polka dot scrapbook paper …

… and then filled the jar with everything a cat {and its owner} might love: small cans of gourmet cat food, a laser mouse, a catnip treat, crinkly toys, a rubber ball …

… and homemade cat biscuits!  Grab the recipe for these easy homemade cat treats {click the link} … they’re feline approved!

I placed everything inside the cat treats mason jar and added a bit of matching tulle around the lid.  It couldn’t have been an easier gift and what cat lover wouldn’t enjoy finding this under their Christmas tree?  Everything’s better in a mason jar, right?
