Thanksgiving Mantel Decor

The month of November is all about Thanksgiving at our house!  With Halloween over and Christmas still some time away, I love to make November all about the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.  It’s one of my favorite holidays and definitely my favorite time of year!  While most of the focus goes toward Thanksgiving Dinner and all its preparations, I did a bit of decorating as well and thought I’d give you a little peek at my Thanksgiving mantel decor!

I dug out some of my favorite past projects and grouped them together to create a fall vignette on my mantel.  I folded this give thanks burlap table runner and draped it over the edge of the mantel …

… and attached large, colored burlap leaves {found at my local craft store} to each other and strung them across the vintage window that sits on my mantel, creating a simple garland that also adds a bit of color.

I set my wood burned give thanks sign on a plate easel …

… and elevated it on a stack of hardcover books with the pages facing out, dog chewed corners and all {smile}.  I’m pretending the corners look distressed instead of, well, chewed.

I scattered crochet topped acorns all over the mantel, placed flameless candles on both sides …

… and set my monogram cross stitch pumpkin alongside the other decor.

Then I added a few other random elements {clay pumpkins and indian corn} …

… and I have a Thanksgiving mantel decorated in fall tones that sets a perfect tone for the holiday!
