Top Ten Recipes of 2016

I love to cook and coming up with something new or my own version of a recipe is a favorite.  It’s surprisingly easy to throw a few ingredients together and come up with a delicious combination for an easy main dish or a savory side.  These are the top ten recipes of 2016, the ones you pinned the most, shared on social media, and viewed more than any others.  For the full recipe, more photos, and all the details, click on the links below to take you directly to the post.  Be sure to pin your favorites by clicking the pin it here link … and let me know if you end up trying any of these recipes!

Coffee is my favorite and this frosted coffee is a Chick-Fil-A knock-off that’s absolutely delicious.  It’s perfect for the hot summer months when you want a little pick-me-up but it’s too hot to drink a mug of joe. {pin it here}

A friend of mine came up with this recipe and it’s a favorite!  With only two ingredients, this steak marinade is easy and delicious.  Make some extra marinade to use as a dipping sauce for your grilled sirloin! {pin it here}

My traditional dump cake recipe is extremely popular and I thought it would be fun to make a crockpot version!  Throw these ingredients in the slow cooker to make this chocolate cherry brownie crockpot dump cake that tastes like a black forest cake {my childhood favorite} or a cherry cordial. {pin it here}

This recipe for tortilla apple dumplings has been really popular and I love that it’s a fun and unique twist on a crescent roll dumpling recipe.  Tortillas take this recipe up a notch.  Add a scoop of ice cream to the warm dumplings and you’ve got a dessert that your guests will rave about! {pin it here}

I love a good poke cake recipe and you can’t ever go wrong when you combine chocolate and coffee flavors.  This chocolate espresso poke cake is super simple {it starts with a cake mix!} but incredibly moist and rich! {pin it here}

If you love my frosted lemonade recipe, you’ll love this frosted mango lemonade version.  The mango adds a slightly sweet tropical flavor that’s the perfect complement for the tart lemonade.  It’s just the right antidote for too-hot summer days! {pin it here}

Adults love snow cones too and it doesn’t get better than this version made with wine.  These wine snow cones are a fun way to jazz up a summer party … and they couldn’t be simpler!  Any wine works so experiment with your favorites. {pin it here}

Nothing beats a good pasta salad especially when you want to avoid turning the oven on.  This zesty chicken pasta salad gets its zing from italian dressing and can be customized any way you like.  Toss in your favorite vegetables or make it as the recipe states for a great meal that’s perfect all year long {and great for packing in school or work lunches}. {pin it here}

We’ve taken a peek at a lot of warm weather recipes but we do get the occasional chilly day here in Texas {wink} and this easiest crockpot chicken tortilla soup is the perfect way to warm up!  We all love a quick and easy slow cooker meal and this one will become a regular on the weekly meal plan. {pin it here}

And finally, if you don’t want to dirty a pile of dishes, whip up this one skillet spicy sausage jambalaya.  You can make it with sausage like I do or throw in some chicken or shrimp.  Make it with minute rice if you need a super fast meal or let the rice cook a little longer if you have the time.  This recipe is a true favorite at our house! {pin it here}
