Fall Porch Ideas

When I moved into this house last fall, one of the things I just loved about the house is that the outside entryway was somewhat sheltered, meaning I could decorate and not worry that the elements would blow, chill, and destroy my holiday decor.  This year, the minute the calendar turned to September, I rounded up the pumpkins, did a little crafting, and decorated my porch area for the season.  If you’re looking for some fall porch ideas, let me share a couple of quick and easy projects.

And be sure to keep reading because my fall porch is part of a fall ideas tour with lots of other talented bloggers!  At the bottom of this post, you’ll find links to all kinds of fall inspiration, including tablescapes, recipes, craft projects, mantel decor, and more porch ideas.

While I love porches that are overflowing with pumpkins and hay bales and all sorts of gorgeous decor, I have more of a minimalist approach to decorating.  I like a few small touches and I love handmade projects.

I made a simple upcycled copper mold fall wreath from a vintage mold belonging to my grandmother {click on the link to see the wreath tutorial} …

… and then decorated the turquoise headboard bench next to my door {another DIY project} with pumpkins.

I filled a vintage sap bucket with beaded pumpkins and burlap leaves from the dollar store and tucked in a few other craft store leaves and glittery dollar store leaves {the smaller glitter leaves are table scatter found at the dollar store}.

I crafted a watercolor-look pumpkin pillow {click on the link for the tutorial} …

… and added the cross-stitched monogrammed pumpkin that I made a few years ago.  It’s still one of my favorite fall projects!

I tucked in a few tiny glittery pumpkins …

… for a very orange {my favorite color} fall vignette!  I love the way the orange pops against the turquoise.

And since we won’t see any leaves changing color around here for months, I scattered a few faux leaves on the bench.

A small lantern with a flameless candle was the perfect finishing touch and a sweet way to welcome visitors.

My fall porch decor is so simple but I love walking up to my front door and seeing a little burst of fall greeting me!

Ready for some more fall inspiration?  You won’t be disappointed!  I’ve loved seeing all the ideas throughout the week and feel completely motivated to dig out my other fall decor this weekend.  Happy fall, friends!

What a nice greeting too. I love the way all the orange complements your blue bench, and how you were able to bring together all the different fall projects you’ve created.
