It’s no secret that I love coffee and I love making different styles of coffee cuffs or sleeves. They make great gifts, especially when paired with a favorite drink or a coffee cup filled with a gift card to a favorite coffee shop. This branded cork coffee cuff would make a perfect Father’s Day gift or a gift for a favorite male teacher.
To make this simple cork coffee cuff, find a coffee sleeve template online or open the seam of a cardboard coffee cuff from the coffee shop. Lay the template on top of a piece of thin craft store cork and trim around it with a sharp pair of scissors.
Carefully heat a branding iron {affiliate link} over a fire or other heat source. I heat mine over the gas burner on my stove. Hold the brand with a pot holder and be careful not to burn yourself or anything else!
Once the brand is hot enough, press it firmly into the center of the piece of cork. You may want to practice on a scrap piece of cork first because you only have one chance to get it right.
Lift it off once it’s made a solid print in the cork.
Size the coffee sleeve by wrapping it around a cup then hot glue the edges together, being careful not to accidentally glue it to the cup.
This branded cork coffee cuff is a fun way to personalize a gift and it can be reused over and over!
