Suit Jacket Cuff Coffee Sleeve

I love a cute coffee cuff or coffee sleeve and this one, upcycled from an old suit jacket cuff, is perfect for Father’s Day or for a teacher appreciation gift.  Toss a gift card inside or fill it with a favorite drink and you have a quick and unique gift idea!  Plus, it’s completely no-sew so the kids could even whip one up for Dad!

To make this repurposed suit jacket cuff coffee sleeve, you’ll need a cup, a paper sleeve to use as a template, and an old suit jacket.  Raid the closet or attic or hit up the thrift store for a cheap one {it’s easy to find them for less than five dollars}.  A suit jacket with lots of pattern and buttons on the cuff works well.

Open the paper sleeve and use it as a template to cut the suit jacket cuff.  Use the hem as one of the edges of the coffee sleeve and cut the other sides with pinking shears to prevent fraying.  You may need to make the coffee sleeve wider than the paper template in order to fit all the buttons.

Be sure to place the buttons right in the center of the coffee sleeve for the best appearance.  Use hot glue to attach the suit material to the suit lining then wrap the cuff around the cup and hot glue along the back seam to secure it firmly.

The coffee sleeve will easily slide up and down the cup but if you glued it tight enough, it will stay in place without any trouble.

What a cool idea!! Love how you used the sleeve as a coffee cuff!! I’ll be checking out the basketball one too, that’s really neat! I would like to invite you to link up to our party, Sweet Inspiration. It opens on Friday but it is still live until Tuesday. Hope to see you there!

So adorable! I made a similar coffee cup sleeve from a sweater sleeve. Pinned. Thanks for sharing at the #ThisIsHowWeRoll Link Party.

What cute ideas!! I always see a boring mug for gifts, but adding this would make it personal! 🙂
