We don’t have any big celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day but we do eat our fair share of crock pot corned beef {usually in reuben sandwiches with piles of sauerkraut}, we wear green to avoid getting pinched, and I like to give the kids {and maybe a few friends} a little St. Patrick’s Day treat. If you celebrate the same way we do, I’ve made the treat part easy with a free tag printable that you can add to a little gift. You’re on your own with pinch prevention {wink}.
To download the luck of a leprechaun printable to add to your treat, click on the link and print it out on white cardstock or paper. Trim to size with a paper cutter, make a small hole in the top, and string some green twine or ribbon through the hole.
Fill a mason jar or other decorative jar with your favorite gumballs or candies. Green is the obvious color choice but yellow or gold and white work well too in keeping with the St. Patrick’s Day theme.
Attach the tag to the jar {if you don’t have cute ribbon, you could always tape it to the outside of the jar with some green or gold washi tape} …
… and you have a sweet little gift that anyone will love. Set the jars at each place setting at dinner or deliver them to friends and neighbors. Everyone loves a surprise sweet treat to celebrate a holiday!
