Leprechaun Treat Cups

After this weekend, the next big {or not so big} holiday is St. Patrick’s Day … and while I don’t go all out and decorate the whole house in green, I do like to do a few fun things for the kids.  These little leprechaun treat cups are easy to make and the perfect way to serve a simple little snack.

leprechaun treat cups

To make them, you’ll need small green treat cups or small bowls {I found these treat cups at Hobby Lobby} and washi tape in black and yellow or gold.  I only had printed black washi tape but decided to use it anyway.  The text adds a bit of a whimsical touch.

Wrap a piece of black washi tape around the cup, leaving a small gap between the tape and the top of the cup.  The tape will bunch slightly as it goes around the sloped cup but it won’t matter in the end.

Cut a small piece of yellow washi tape and, using a craft knife, cut a square out of the middle to create a buckle.

Place the buckle over the center of the washi tape and the treat cup is finished.
