These red velvet oreo cookie ball pops were created as part of a sponsored post for Market Street.  All opinions are my own.  #MarketStreetTX

Have you heard the news?  Oreo just released a brand new flavor: Red Velvet Oreos!  Just in time for Valentine’s Day, these delicious new cookies have hit the shelves at Market Street!  And we’re not just eating them at our house … we’re turning them into red velvet oreo cookie ball pops!

Red Velvet Oreo Cookies are a new limited edition flavor that have been available at Market Street since February 4th.

The cream cheese flavored filling makes these cookies rich and creamy and the reddish color is perfect for Valentine’s Day!  My kids have been stealing them out of the cabinet and scarfing them down …

… but I managed to save a few and made red velvet oreo cookie ball pops.

To make these simple pops, use a food processor to mix 12 red velvet oreos and 2 ounces of cream cheese.  {This will make 8 pops which is just right for a treat for my family.  Double the ingredients to make a larger batch.}

Using a scoop or your hands, form one inch balls and poke a lollipop stick into each.  Set them in a glass or something that will hold them upright and refrigerate for about fifteen minutes to firm them up.

Melt white chocolate, candy melt, or almond bark and dip each cake ball pop in, turning the pop to cover the entire ball.  Allow the excess chocolate to drip off then dip the top lightly into a dish of sprinkles.

Place them back into the fridge until the coating has hardened, then serve.

These rich red velvet oreo cookie ball pops are the perfect treat but they look pretty too!  They’d make a sweet Valentine’s Day surprise for the family … or for that one special person!
