Road Trip Memories Printable

Ford provided the vehicle for this road trip memories printable post.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

One of my daughters plays on a competitive soccer team and this year we’ve started traveling out of state to some of our games.  {You may have seen the soccer mom shirt I made a month or so ago when we traveled to Arkansas in the Ford Expedition.}  A couple of weeks ago, we road tripped to Tulsa, Oklahoma for more games and I got thinking about how much I love road trips and how they always have little details and memories that you don’t want to forget.  I created a road trip memories printable so my kids can keep track of all those little details on future trips!

We drove to Oklahoma in a 2019 Ford Transit, a 12-seater full-size passenger wagon and the girls quickly deemed the Transit the official vehicle for the team!  It was so fun being able to fit the majority of the team in the van and travel together to games and outings during the weekend.

And the girls loved it.  A couple of the girls even brought window markers so we could deck out the Transit with a little team pride!

I have to admit, I was a bit unsure about driving such a large {and tall} vehicle but it was a breeze.  Besides being higher, it really didn’t feel much different than driving my minivan.  I loved all the extra space, both for passengers and for cargo {we brought chairs, sleeping bags, cold weather gear, snacks, luggage, and entertainment items and still filled just a fraction of the back}.  The Ford Transit also has overhead storage bins which made it easy to organize and store all the little things you need on a road trip.

With a rearview camera and side-wind stabilization technology {side-wind stabilization applies the brakes on one side of the vehicle to reduce the effect of a sudden side wind gust when you’re driving}, driving felt safe and easy, even in the crazy winds of Oklahoma.  And with the driver and passenger front and side airbags and the full-length, side curtain airbag, I felt like we were traveling safely all weekend.

I’ve always wondered why average size families would choose the Ford Transit vehicle for their family but after driving it, I totally understand.  With five kids of my own, we pack out an entire minivan, leaving no room for friends.  The Transit has plenty of room for a family like mine plus a friend for each of the kids!  It was really fun being able to fit so many kiddos at once!  And the aisle seating makes it easy to enter the vehicle and get to any of the rows without having to climb over people or seats.

The Ford Transit is super tall but the large windshield makes it easy to see in all directions, including down, without blind spots.

And because the Ford Transit is so high, the kids were able to stand straight up and down in the van, making shuffling between seats and rows super easy, as well as changing clothes and uniforms in between and after games.  While I couldn’t stand straight up, I was able to move around within the vehicle with ease.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed driving the Ford Transit and I’m already dreaming about another road trip … which brings me to the road trip memories printable!

Are you traveling for the holiday season?  Or already thinking about summer road trips like I am?

When the printables are all completed at the end of a trip, place them into a small binder or add them to the vacation scrapbook for real time memories.
