I love to dress my kids in coordinating holiday shirts for the 4th of July. This year I made glow in the dark shirts for them to wear. Their stars will be glowing away while we’re watching fireworks! That sure trumps a glow stick, doesn’t it? Let me show you how easy it is to make glow in the dark shirts for your kids … or for the whole family!
To make glow in the dark shirts for the 4th of July, you’ll need red or blue t-shirts, glow in the dark iron on vinyl or heat transfer, and a cutting machine. {You can also easily cut the stars by hand if you don’t have a cutting machine.} You can get these supplies by clicking on the pictures below to have them delivered straight to you.
Cut stars in varying sizes from the glow in the dark vinyl. Use your cutting machine or find a star template online to use as a stencil if you’re cutting by hand. Following manufacturer’s instructions, attach the stars to the shirts in different formations and designs.
The shirts look really cute and colorful in the daytime but the real fun starts after dark.
The stars will collect light all day and then begin to glow once the sun goes down. They’re such a fun way to celebrate the 4th and perfect for fireworks watching!

very cute shirts, where else can you get “glow in the dark heat transfer” since Pick Your Plum is a one day only item kind of site?
