I love the Fourth of July. I know I’m Canadian but I just love the patriotism and fun that goes with the Fourth. And seriously, red, white, and blue is just the best color combination, right? With Independence Day right around the corner, I gathered up 10 creative ideas for the 4th of July to get you in the spirit!
I’m a bit partial to these shirts with glow-in-the-dark stars {I made them} but you have to admit this is really a cool idea, right? The kids wear them all day and then head to the fireworks in a glow-in-the-dark shirt. Who needs a glow stick when you’ve got a glow shirt?
My kids love homemade waffles so what better way to start the Fourth than with flag waffles? Simple red-tinted waffles with some blueberries and whipped cream and you’re set!
A little fact about me. I love big metal beverage containers. I also love things that are labeled. See where I’m going with this? These life, liberty, and happiness drink buckets make me smile. Plus, I have a slight addiction to those freezy pop things in the first one.
America and baseball go hand in hand so why not make a baseball bat flag? Fabulous, right?
Starry bleached shirts are really fun to make and so easy! I love the randomness of the design and the color variations.
Grill up some burgers and dogs and sit back with a glass of red, white, and blue sangria. If you want a non-alcoholic version, you could add the same fruit to a pitcher of water or clear soda.
Pop Rocks lollipops are the best. If you can melt chocolate {in the microwave, no less}, you can make these. The kids will think you’re the coolest.
I think my little girls are going to be celebrating the Fourth with these no-sew ric rac flag shirts. So cute, so clever, so patriotic.
This 4th of July balloon dart game is so clever! It makes awesome party decor and a fun game!
And you can’t celebrate without a little red, white, and blue decor! Add a ruffled burlap wreath to the front door. The buttons are perfection.
I’d love to hear how you celebrate the 4th of July!
