I think I use the word simple in almost every post on this blog {wink} and this idea is no different.  This simple cinnamon roll Christmas tree breakfast treat starts with storebought cinnamon rolls and is a fun idea that the whole family will love … and you’ll love how quick it is to make this easy holiday breakfast idea!  You can add sprinkles, dried fruit, or anything else to jazz it up and customize it for Christmas or a holiday brunch!

I love the idea of making days and events special in the simplest of ways.

Not everything has to be a lot of work.  The best things can often be the simplest as well.

In my own life, with five kids and crazy schedules, simple is good.  And my kids love any special treat, not just the fancy, time-consuming ones.

This cinnamon roll Christmas tree is perfect for an easy holiday breakfast idea, a holiday office gathering, or just a fun morning during Christmas break.

How to Make a Cinnamon Roll Christmas Tree Breakfast Treat

Start with a couple of rolls of storebought cinnamon rolls.

Place the cinnamon rolls on a greased baking sheet.  Make sure the rolls aren’t touching each other.

Bake them according to package instructions, being careful not to overbake.  They’re not nearly as good when they get too brown.

Once fully baked, remove the cinnamon rolls from the oven and create a Christmas tree shape on a large platter, pushing the rolls right up against each other.

You don’t want any space in between them.

Drizzle with the icing that comes with the rolls or pipe it on in a swirl design.

You could also add an easy homemade coffee glaze that’ll take the rolls up a notch {because isn’t everything better with coffee?}.

If desired, sprinkle the cinnamon roll tree with silver ball sprinkles, dried fruit pieces, or another festive topping.
