The holiday season is upon us and I have a really fun way to carry out one of my favorite traditions: the tradition of bringing Christmas treats to neighbors. In my neighborhood, it’s really common to give and receive a homemade gift or treat and I have a great way to share a sweet treat with friends or neighbors this month! Nothing beats a pan of coffee glazed sweet rolls fresh from the oven delivered with a fun little printable! One year our neighbors brought us a pan of warm cinnamon rolls on a Saturday morning and it was so memorable … and so welcome! And if you’re a really great friend, you’ll deliver it with a carafe of hot coffee too {wink}!
The great news about this fun gift idea is that it’s super easy to make because it starts with a package of Pillsbury Grands!® Sweet Rolls® from Walmart.
Any variety will work so choose your favorite … or your neighbor’s favorite.
In a round foil pan {one with a lid, preferably}, place one roll in the middle and the other rolls evenly around it.
Bake according to the package instructions and let cool for a few minutes {but don’t let them get completely cold}. While they’re cooling slightly, with an electric mixer, blend together 2 cups powdered sugar and 3 tablespoons strong brewed coffee. If you want to increase the coffee flavor, dissolve a teaspoon of instant coffee in the brewed coffee before you add it to the powdered sugar.
Drizzle the coffee glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls, using as much or as little glaze as you’d like.
Place a clear lid or plastic wrap over the pan and print the sweet Christmas printable. Cut it out along the dark line …
… add a strand of ribbon over the pan, securing it underneath with hot glue, and glue the label into place. This is such a simple gift idea but one your friends and neighbors will love! Maybe this will be the start of a new Christmas tradition in your neighborhood!
