Have you started thinking about Easter yet? I love to set pretty tables for holidays and I always enjoy setting a bit of a whimsical table for the kids, if they’ll be sitting separately. I love to upcycle common items into something else and carrots are a no-brainer at Easter. Years ago, I made really cute upcycled carrot party favors out of toilet paper rolls and this year the kids’ table will be set with these fun upcycled carrot party favor boxes made with pie boxes.
Supplies to Make Upcycled Carrot Party Favor Boxes
To make these Easter themed favor boxes, you’ll need plain white pie slice boxes, green chenille stems or pipecleaners, a glue gun, and orange spray paint.
You can also use brush on craft paint but using spray paint will make it much quicker and will help you avoid brush lines on the carrots {although brush lines would also add a cute element of texture to the project}.
How to Make Upcycled Carrot Party Favor Boxes for Easter
To make these fun favors, paint the boxes before assembling them.
Paint one side, let them dry fully, then flip the boxes over and paint the other side.
Let the boxes dry completely.
Assemble the pie boxes into their rectangle shapes.
Using one green pipecleaner for each pie box, fold a pipecleaner in half then in half again. Cut the fold at the top so you only have two folds in your hand and four ends sticking up …
… then hot glue the folded edges to the center of the top of the painted pie box.
Fill the pie boxes with a homemade seasonal snack mix or seasonal candy treats and place one at each table setting.
These Easter treat boxes are really quick and easy to make, assembly line style, and add a whimsical and creative touch to an Easter tablescape!
