Tricks to Play on the Kids on April Fool’s Day

April Fool’s Day is coming up in a week or so and I love playing a few tricks on my family!  While we don’t do anything absolutely crazy, it’s always fun to get away with a little joke and turn the day into something memorable.  If you’re looking for some tricks to play on the kids on April Fool’s Day, check out these clever ideas … and then have fun fooling your family!  But be warned … when the kids start understanding what’s really going on, retailiation may come!

Trick the kids with lollipops that are actually pieces of broccoli on a stick!  You could use other vegetables too: radishes would be perfect!

Surprise the kids with a treat in the lunchbox.  When they unwrap these chocolate eggs, they’ll actually find grapes!

Wake everyone up at dinner with pop rocks in the milk cups {my kids would get such a kick out of this!}.

Wrap carrots in tootsie roll wrappers for a really disappointing treat!  Tootsie rolls are one of my favorites and I sure would be bummed to find carrots instead!

Catch an unsuspecting family member in the bathroom with this fake toilet paper roll!

Serve asparagus for dessert.  This bunch of asparagus is actually a pretty fabulous cake decorated with fondant but it’ll definitely trick the kids!

This party popper prank is so simple and will have big bang results!
