Halloween season is here and this month always brings about a lot of parties and playdates. This trick tac toe Halloween party game is perfect for classroom parties or even just an afternoon at home when the kids need a little entertaining and something novel to do. Whether you make these cards with your Cricut machine, like I did, or create them on a computer, this game takes very little preparation and the kids will love it.
To make the board games for this trick tac toe game, I used my Cricut machine with white cardstock, the green standard grip mat, and pens.
Pens are one of my favorite accessories because you can so quickly whip up a cute gift tag or sign.
I created the trick tac toe grids in Cricut Design Space and you can use the file by clicking on this link: trick tac toe party game.
You can customize them, if desired, or make them as is. If you don’t have a cutting machine, you could easily draw these up and copy them or make them in a word processing program.
I sent them to the Cricut machine, where it drew and cut them …
… and it took about five minutes to have this game ready for the kiddos.
Depending on the look you want, you can draw the lines in plain black or in colors, like orange, green, and purple. {I used a 1.0 mm pen to make these cards and the orange ones were made with gel pens.}
Kids can play the game with regular crayons or pens but if you want to add a festive touch, give them two different colors of candy to play with.
Just be prepared to have some extras because edible game pieces sometimes put a quick end to a game {wink}!
