Pumpkin Pull Apart Cinnamon Rolls

The weather finally cooled off here and I’m in fall mode.  I’ve got pumpkins and fall decor everywhere and I’m all about the Halloween and fall crafting and cooking.  If you’re ready to make some fall treats, these pumpkin pull apart cinnamon rolls are just the thing! Made with storebought cinnamon rolls, they’re simple to whip up, completely delicious, and a sweet way to greet the family on a chilly fall morning!

I’ve seen lots of pumpkin themed cinnamon rolls but I’ve never seen a pumpkin pull apart … and it’s way easier to make than all those individual rolls.

To make pumpkin pull apart cinnamon rolls, you’ll need two packages of storebought cinnamon rolls, a container of cream cheese frosting, large pretzel rods, green candy that you can use to make leaves, and orange food coloring.

Spray an 8 or 9 inch round pan with non-stick cooking spray.  {I used a springform pan but a pie plate would also work as long as the sides are high enough.}  Be sure to grease the pan well so you don’t have any trouble popping the rolls out.

Place the rolls in the pan, arranging them all around the outside and then filling in the middle.  You may have some spaces but the rolls will expand as they bake.

Baking according to package instructions, adding a little time as needed until the rolls are fully cooked.

While the rolls are baking, mix the orange food coloring with the frosting until you have the orange tone you want.

Once baked, let the rolls cool a little then pop them out onto a plate or platter.

Spread the frosting over top of the cinnamon rolls.

Break a pretzel rod into thirds and poke one third into the top of the cinnamon roll pumpkin then add candy leaves.

We used small gummy candies and a tiny cookie cutter to make the leaves but you could also freehand them and use any green or brown candy.  Flattened tootsie rolls would probably work great for making leaves!

Grab some plates, napkins, and forks, and call the family for a fun fall-themed breakfast!

To serve, just pull the rolls off.  They’ll separate easily from the pumpkin.

Enjoy this pumpkin-themed breakfast idea!
