How to Make a Succulent Living Wreath

FloraCraft provided the styrofoam wreath form used to make the succulent living wreath in this sponsored post.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.  This post contains affiliate links.

A couple of nights ago I hosted a live google hangout where I showed the audience how to make a succulent living wreath.  With succulents so popular right now, this is the perfect project for creating some quick and easy decor, for the indoors or outdoors.  It would be equally cute with small cacti, if you can find a way to plant it without poking up all your fingers {wink}.

This project requires very few supplies {a foam wreath, burlap, a glue gun, potting soil, and a variety of live succulents} and would be a fun project to do with kids if you’ve got kiddos that like to get their hands dirty.

As summer continues, the succulents on this wreath will grow a bit bigger and some of the types of succulents will spread a bit, filling in the spaces and making a full, flourishing, living wreath.  You can hang this living wreath inside or outside for fabulous decor that’s totally on trend.

To make the wreath, you’ll dig out a center portion of the wreath, wrap the outside in burlap fabric, and fill the cut space with potting soil and succulents.

The whole process and tutorial for making this DIY succulent living wreath is detailed in this short, eight minute video.

Plus, you’ll get a sneak peek at my total fail cactus wreath … and you don’t want to miss that fiasco! {wink}
