I’ve seen different hand-stitched shirts on the internet and I think they’re so cute and so perfect for fun holiday attire. I especially love the childish fonts and the handmade look. These hand stitched give thanks shirts will be adorable on Luke and Lila at Thanksgiving! They’re the perfect craft to make while sitting in front of the TV, watching your favorite show, and may get you hooked on hand stitching.
These shirts are so simple to make. You’ll need cheap shirts {Walmart is always great for finding shirts for kids} and embroidery thread {stitch with 3-6 strands and mix and match colors, if desired}.
I printed the words on the computer using a font I love, traced the words onto the front of the shirts with a washable fabric pen, and hand-stitched over the lines using different colors of embroidery thread.
I chose to alternate with a few different colors, all in fall tones.
The final result is so cute and the kids will look adorable in their hand stitched give thanks shirts with a heartfelt message.
