Frosted Limeade

I love cold, refreshing drinks in the summer.  I like sweet but I really love tart.  This frosted limeade recipe is the perfect combination of both flavors: a little bit of sweet and a whole lot of tart.  It’s a delicious twist on my frosted lemonade recipe and definitely a new favorite at our house!  You may find me sipping these by the pool a lot this summer {wink}!

frosted limeade recipe

To make a batch of frosted limeade, you’ll need

half a can of frozen limeade concentrate {about 6 ounces}

1 cup of water and

3 cups of vanilla ice cream.

frosted limeade recipe ingredients

In a blender, blend the vanilla ice cream, water, and frozen lemonade concentrate together.  Blend until all ingredients are well mixed and have a smooth, creamy consistency.

Pour into glasses, add a sliced lime garnish, toss in a couple of patterned paper straws, and serve.  One batch will make three or four glasses, depending on the size.

This drink is so delicious and I’m already thinking about the next batch!

    This looks so good. As does the mango one. Pinning as a special treat for the kiddos. Visiting from Monday Funday.
