Mason jars are so popular and rightly so. You can dress them up in so many different ways to make a creative and simple gift package. This Father’s Day mason jar truly got dressed up … in a little paper shirt! This idea is so simple that kids can make it too {they may just need a bit of help with the cutting and gluing}. Just fill the jar up with small gifts or favorite candies and you’ll have a fun gift for Dad on Father’s Day!
To make this collared shirt mason jar, you’ll need a plain glass jar, scrapbook paper {plaid or patterned paper is particularly cute since you want it to look like a shirt}, and three small buttons. You’ll also need a paper trimmer or scissors and a glue gun or glue stick.
Cut a piece of scrapbook paper wide enough to cover the flat part of the jar and long enough to wrap around and slightly overlap in the back. Glue the edges together on the back of the jar.
Then, cut two pieces to look like a collar, place them over top of the band, and glue them in the back as well.
Add three buttons from your button stash {don’t we all have one?} and this decorative mason jar craft is complete! It literally just takes minutes.
Fill it up with Dad’s favorite candy …
… and you’ve got a sweet treat to sit on Dad’s desk at the office! Don’t forget to refill it throughout the year as a bonus!
