Wax warmers are so popular right now but did you know you can make your own wax cubes in less than ten minutes for a fraction of the price? And making DIY scented wax cubes means you can choose any scent you want. Intrigued? Let me show you how to make them!
To make wax cubes for your wax warmer, you’ll need {wait for it} wax! You can use regular paraffin wax, beeswax, or soy wax. In addition to the wax, you’ll also need essential oils in any scent you choose, and a mold. You can buy a wax melt mold at your local craft store {in the soap and candle making aisle} or re-use a container from storebought wax cubes.
To fill one mold {six spaces}, melt 1/4 pound of candle wax. Melt in a double boiler. Do not melt over direct heat.
When the wax has melted completely, stir in 20 drops of essential oils, and pour it into the mold.
Let the wax harden completely and carefully remove from the mold, separating the cubes to use them in the warmer.
It’s as easy as that! The scented wax cubes would make a great gift for a friend or a teacher and you can customize the scent for the individual, even adding combinations of scents as desired!

I have heard of doing this and never have. But, I love grapefruit scent, so I loved that you picked that!! What benefits does the grapefruit essential oil have?

I love this idea! I might try a different method. Just break off a small piece of wax, melt in the warmer, and add the oils. Thanks for the inspiration!

You should be able to buy it in the candle aisle at any large craft store but I know you can also find it online.
