Springtime is here {finally!} and I’m so ready for bright colors, happy flowers, and simple projects that bring some cheer to my home!  These candy-filled mason jar vases are the perfect spring centerpiece or a delightful gift for a teacher or a friend.  And you can whip them up in no time at all!

To make these vases, I made a stop in the candy aisle for a Skittles & Starburst 30 Pack from Sam’s Club and grabbed some fresh flowers as well.

Along with the candy and flowers, I used mason jars in various sizes and cardboard tubes from paper towel rolls.

I cut the cardboard tubes to the height of each jar …

… and placed them in the center.

Row by row, I layered different colors of Starburst candies between the mason jar and the cardboard tube {I used a straw to help poke the candy into place if needed} …

… and repeated it with the Skittles.  {When you first begin layering, you’ll need to hold the tube in place with one hand so it doesn’t shift around.  As you build up layers, the candy will hold the tube intact.}

When the jars are full of candy, add fresh flowers to the cardboard tube.  {Grab some water receptacles from the florist or craft store to keep the flowers fresh.}

Such a simple project but a group of candy-filled mason jar vases looks so pretty and adds some fun color and a splash of spring to the room or table!

    The paper tubes inside are a nice way to keep everything divided!

    I love how colorful these vases are and it’s such a smart idea to use the toilet paper rolls inside! #client
