Halloween season is coming up and that can mean only one thing: candy corn! This quick and easy candy corn Halloween gift jar idea makes a fun treat for a neighbor or a teacher or the perfect hostes gift for the big Halloween party!
Ready for some Halloween crafting?
To make these Halloween gift jars, you’ll need small jars {you can use mason jars, other decorative jars, or you can upcycle old pickle or food jars} and candy corn or other candies in orange, yellow, and white.
First, you’ll need to fill the jars. You can fill them up with candy corn or create your own candy corn look by layering the white, orange, and yellow candies. Fill the jar to the top and then place the lid on. If the candies are packed in, they won’t shift even when the jar is moved around.
The jars look really cute with layered candies or with real candy corn …
… and even cuter when you add a simple message with your Cricut machine.
I creataed this simple text on Cricut Design Space using the birthday bash font {I kind of have a thing about that font right now} and cut it on black vinyl. I tried a few other colors as well but they just didn’t show well against the candy background.
For a variation, you can place the message on top of the lid instead of around the jar. Just be sure you have a plain background on the lid so the message shows well.
To create this label, on Cricut Design Space I created a circle slightly smaller than the lid then duplicated the text and moved it inside the circle, altering the size to fit. I used the align feature to center the text both horizontally and vertically then selected it all and clicked slice. This allows the text to be sliced right out of the circle. I moved the “waste” text aside, deleted it, and cut this piece from patterned orange vinyl.
This craft idea really is lightning fast, taking just minutes to cut the message …
… and you’re left with a really cute candy corn gift idea for Halloween!

These are SO precious! I actually have a LOT of friends that love candy corn, so this is the perfect little gift for them. I love how you used the colored M&M’s, too. I’ll check out the designs on Cricut – thanks so much!
