A Modern Neon Halloween Wreath

This modern neon Halloween wreath is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Sharpie, but all opinions are my own. #pmedia #NeonSharpie  http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

This project is a blending of two things I absolutely love: bright, neon colors and Sharpies {oh, how I love Sharpies!}.  I strayed from the standard Halloween black and orange and created this vivid modern neon Halloween wreath.  Isn’t it fun?

You just need a few supplies for this simple wreath: a styrofoam wreath, fake cobweb netting, a plastic spider, wooden balls in a variety of sizes {found at your local craft store}, and permanent Sharpies in neon colors {I bought a 5-pack at Target and you can use this $1 off coupon right now to buy some as well … available while supplies last and in select stores}.

Turn on your favorite show and color every one of those wooden balls with the neon Sharpies.  It sounds super time-consuming but it’s one of those mindless tasks that’s actually quite relaxing and it won’t take too long.  I decided to go super bright and I just used yellow, orange, and pink.  These colors look ultra vivid in natural light and they turn fluorescent in black light.  How cool is that?

Once all the wooden balls are covered, wrap the wreath form with the cobweb material and tack it in place with a glue gun.  Be sure to leave some of the webbing across the back of the wreath.

Using a glue gun, randomly glue the balls in place.  I started with the largest balls and worked down to the smallest, just tacking them into place where I thought they looked good.  The result is a very random, fun, modern look.

Add a large plastic spider {this one glows in the dark} …

What a cute wreath, Randi! I’m a Sharpie lover, too, and this is a great idea for those bold neon colors.
