A Dog Birthday Party

Our little puppy, Molly, turned one last week {on the 4th of July!} and, along with another puppy friend {KC, who’s about to turn one}, we celebrated with a dog birthday party!  Our party was really held to appease the kids but I’m up for any chance to throw a little celebration, even if it’s a party for our furry family.  The dogs loved the activity and fanfare and the human family had a great time as well!

You have to have a cute table for a puppy party, right?  Even if only the humans can appreciate it.

I cut out bones using my cutting machine and strung a paper and ribbon dog bone garland above the table …

… and scattered smaller dog bones as colorful table confetti.  Table confetti is such a cheap and easy way to add some color to a table and easily continue a theme.

They had a little storebought doggy ice cream on the side {because who doesn’t want a bit of ice cream with their cake?} …

I served the cake and ice cream in plastic dog bowls …

Our puppy birthday party was lots of fun …

And don’t worry: the humans weren’t left out.  We snacked on these adorable puppy dog cupcakes made by KC’s mom.
