If you’ve been hanging out here this week, you’ll know that I held a fun little first birthday party for my puppy and one of her little canine friends.  And you probably saw the cute homemade dog bone party favors that the pups were given, filled with delicious chicken jerky for dogs.

I wanted to make something cute for the party but I also wanted to give Molly and her puppy friend a healthy, wholesome treat.  Nudges, dog treats made in the USA, fit the bill.  Molly loves the way they taste {and apparently the way they smell since she went crazy as soon as I opened the bag} and I’m happy that they’re not loaded with fillers and artificial flavors.  They were the perfect treat for a doggy bag for the party!

To make the goody bags, I used my cutting machine to cut a favor box from white cardstock …

Molly couldn’t get enough of her treats and they were a great incentive for her ongoing training.  Eli’s been teaching her several tricks, including her famous jump spin, and she loved getting rewarded with Nudges.  She thinks they’re the best dog treats ever!

Molly’s very eager to please and we like being able to give her treats she loves when she behaves well.

I made it using my cutting machine. If you don’t have a cutting machine, you could use a craft knife to cut a bone shape from a storebought bag or box.
