With Easter just days away, I’ve been planning a few fun things for the kids. This simple bunny bottom Easter cup comes on the heels {or the tail} of my bunny bottom fruit dip and will be a fun little surprise at the kids’ table this Sunday! When the cup is sitting flat, it just looks like it has little feet but when a child tips it up to take a sip, a silly little surprise awaits on the bottom!
To make a bunny bottom Easter cup, you’ll need white cups, pink and white cardstock, a cutting machine, circle cutter, or paper punch, and cotton balls. Click on the pictures below for easy ordering.
Begin by cutting the bunny paws. Cut an oval shape from white cardstock then, from pink cardstock, cut two bigger circles and six small circles. If you’ve got a cutting machine, you can make the cuts really quickly but a circle cutter or paper punches will work just as well and you can freehand the oval shape. For reference, the smaller circles are about the size of a hole punch used for binder paper and the other pink circles are about half an inch in diameter.
Using a glue gun or other adhesive, attach the pink circles to each white oval …
… then glue the feet onto the bottom of the white cup.
To create the bunny tail, trim one end from a cotton ball and attach it with hot glue to the bottom of the cup. Be sure to only use a small piece because you still want the cup to be able to sit flat.
Serve the drinks as you normally would …
… and when the child takes a drink, a fun surprise will be visible to the others at the table!
