15 Repurposed Bird Feeder Projects

Spring is officially here and it definitely feels like it where I live.  The leaves are popping up on the trees, flowers are blooming, and birds are everywhere.  It has me motivated to make a few new feeders for our yard and these repurposed bird feeder projects have completely inspired me!  I want to hit up the thrift store, find something old and distressed, and turn it into a fabulous upcycled bird feeder!

15 repurposed bird feeder projects

Upcycle an old wine bottle into a bird feeder with a few simple DIY steps.

Repurpose a vintage teapot into a bird feeder that’ll add a bit of elegance to the yard.

An old steamer pot makes a fabulous bird feeder when combined with an old tart pan and a door knob.

Hit up the toy store for a slinky and upcycle it into a unique bird feeder that’s perfect for holding large nuts.

Colorful plates make a beautiful bird feeder and you can customize it to match your outside decor.

This is such an old school project but with a wood roof and a cute door opening, a milk carton looks adorable as a bird feeder.

Drill a few holes in a terracotta pot to transform it into a one-of-a-kind bird feeder.

I’m not passing those glass insulators by at a flea market ever again!  Who knew they’d make such adorable bird feeders?  And they’re such a sweet size, too.  A few of them hanging together in a tree would look great.

Don’t throw out that old dustpan … turn it into a bird feeder instead!

Repurpose an old {or new} tea cup into a pretty bird feeder.

A bundt pan makes a fabulous bird feeder … or a great bird bath as well!

The kids will love turning an old tin can into a colorful bird feeder that’ll brighten up the garden and make the birds happy!

The mason jar trend isn’t forgotten in this space.  A mason jar bird feeder is a super simple project and all it takes is a quick trip to the feed store.

I’m grabbing that dingy old chandelier at the next garage sale and turning it into a chandelier bird feeder.  Isn’t this fun?

And save those old light fixtures because they also make a really great bird feeder!

I’m so smitten with all these ideas and can’t wait to find something at the thrift store to make my own repurposed bird feeder.
