This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of OshKosh B’gosh; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Do you love the holiday season and all the traditions that come with it?  We have a few holiday traditions in our family that the kids love … traditions that really make it feel like the holiday season.  We watch certain Christmas movies every year, the kids wear matching pajamas on Christmas Eve, the kiddos all get a coordinating holiday outfit … and we drink lots of hot cocoa!  Maybe it’s because we live in Texas and cold days only happen upon us for a few months of the year but my kids love hot cocoa!  It’s their treat of choice during the holiday season and the perfect way to serve up some family fun or gather with friends to create some holiday memories!  I love experimenting with different variations and this white peppermint hot chocolate is a new favorite.  It’s perfectly festive and the only thing that could make it a little bit more enjoyable is if we could get some snow in Dallas this winter!

We’re halfway into December and we’re slowly but surely checking the boxes on our holiday list.  We’ve watched a few holiday movies, I have the matching pajamas put away for Christmas Eve and, this year, my three younger kids chose holiday outfits from OshKosh B’gosh.  My little one was all about the tulle and glitter and the twins wanted simple: jeans and a top.  I love that my older daughter was able to get an outfit that matched her simple kids style but had some fun touches, like ruffles and gold, that made her outfit feel a bit more festive.

I love a cute outfit that looks adorable in holiday photos but is also practical enough to be worn to school or for everyday activities.  Cozy but classy is the kind of kids fashion that I love.

The small details on these OshKosh pieces are perfect: the patch on Luke’s jeans …

… the ruffled edge on her plaid top …

… and the sparkles that Tate couldn’t resist!

My kids love their new outfits and I’m looking forward to getting some really cute holiday photos!

Won’t they look great on Christmas Eve, all dressed up for church?  We’re planning to serve this white peppermint hot cocoa again on Christmas Eve as well.

Want to make some too?  To make this easy recipe, you’ll need 6 cups of milk, 16 ounces white chocolate chips, 1 teaspoon peppermint extract, and 1 cup half and half.

Add the ingredients to a large pot and warm over medium-low heat until the chocolate chips are melted and the hot chocolate is the right temperature for drinking.

Serve in mugs and top with whipped cream.  I also like to add a few fun garnishes like peppermint sprinkles, crushed candy canes, and snowflake shaped marshmallows.

Garnishes always make hot chocolate feel a bit more festive!

We’re definitely ready to get started on all the holiday fun!

I love trimming the tree. It was my best memory as a child and now I love it with my boys.

My favorite Christmas tradition is taking our kids to the Christmas tree farm and letting them pick out our perfect tree for our family. The place we go to is a locally owned Christmas tree farm by a family that has been there for generations in our small town. We get to hop on a wagon and go for a hay ride to the tree field while eating candy canes. After we let the kids search around and find us a great tree the helpers tie it to our car. Making great memories there!

We love watching Christmas movies as we put up the tree and decorate the house. We also love going on an adventure looking for Christmas lights around town. Baking cookies is also a must!!
