Since moving into this house last fall, I’ve been slowly but surely creating our spaces and I’m finally getting around to hanging some things on the wall. I’ve been hesitant to hang too much until I know exactly what I want but I love the upcycled vintage wallpaper sign that I just made for the family room. The vintage style, the colors, and the bold print all blend perfectly with my colorful eclectic style and the message is my favorite!
To make this upcycled vintage wallpaper sign, I bought an inexpensive frame at IKEA and ordered vintage wallpaper on etsy. If you love vintage wallpaper as much as I do, etsy is a great source! I found so many different styles and had no trouble finding a pattern that suited the color palette in my home. I went for a large floral print because it just screamed retro.
I placed the wallpaper behind the mat and taped it around the edges {the frame came with a built-in white mat which added a nice border and a bit of subtlety to the bold colors} …
… and then used my Cricut Maker to add the “love boldly” message in orange vinyl.
I truly believe that we’re to love our neighbors as ourselves and that if we love the people around us loudly, boldly, and fully, that the world would be a better place. And it never hurts to have a little reminder.
I hung the frame over the couch in our living room …
… and I love the pop of color that it adds to a very white wall. I’m planning to hang some other art around it and I’ll share a full room tour once it’s complete.
But for now, I’m loving this colorful space with its vintage touches and eclectic style!

Love the sign (I’m a sucker for anything vintage!) and the message is right on. There can never be enough love around! Visiting from Best of the Weekend party.
