One of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving is getting the tables ready. The Thanksgiving table is ready for the older crowd {minus the requisite olives and cranberries that will fill the empty bowls} and tomorrow I’ll share the kids’ table.
This year I have a set of brown transferware {hooray!} and I’m so excited about using it.
I used huge acorns for the placecards.
I love my orange-dyed acorns but when I found these huge guys, I couldn’t resist. I spray painted them yellow and embellished them with chipboard monograms.
My centerpiece is a simple mix of natural elements – a pumpkin, some Indian corn, bright yellow acorns, and fall leaves collected by my twins. I added chipboard letters to the centerpiece as well … a reminder to bless others.

Your table looks beautiful. I have to ask… do you serve buffet style or do you have a small table to the side that you pass the dishes from?
Randi~Dukes and Duchesses says
I serve buffet style from the kitchen island. It’s just so much easier.
