Snowman Mason Jar Hot Cocoa Gift

A few weeks ago I shared this cute little snowman mason jar at 30 Days and I wanted to share it again here in case you missed it.  This cute guy could be made with any size mason jar {wouldn’t a squat little snowman be cute?} and filled with any goodies.  I made it to hold hot cocoa {this homemade hot chocolate recipe is the best!} but you could also fill it up with a baking mix or holiday candies.

To make your own mason jar snowman, spray paint the outside of a mason jar with white spray paint.

When it’s dry, use a sanding sponge to rough it up a bit.  Or, if you don’t like the distressed look, just leave it alone.

Place the lid on the jar and hot glue a little black hat on top.  This time of year, you can find small snowman hats at craft stores.  If you’re unable to find one, cut a black cup in half and glue it to a round paper rim to create your own little snowman hat.

Use hot glue to attach two black button eyes and an orange triangle nose cut from scrapbook paper …

… then add a few buttons down his front and tie on a red fleece scarf.

Fill the jar with any type of holiday treat and deliver your wintry snowman mason jar to a friend or neighbor.  No one can resist such a whimsical treat!
