Rainbow Gum in a Tube {for St. Patrick’s Day}

I came across some old bubblegum tubes in the craft cupboard and decided to make a quick St. Patrick’s Day treat: rainbow gum in a tube!  These will make a fun favor on St. Patrick’s Day or a cute little treat at the dinner table for my little leprechauns.

All you need for this quick treat are inexpensive plastic bubblegum tubes and a bag of colorful dollar store bubblegum balls {affiliate links}.

Originally, I wanted to stuff a gold foil-wrapped Rolo in the bottom of the tube {like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow} but it was a bit too wide for this tube.  Instead, I dipped the lids into gold paint and turned them into little pots of gold at the top of the tube.  That detail might be lost on the kids but it’s not lost on me {wink}.

After filling the tubes with rainbow colored gumballs, I had a sweet little treat for my kiddos.

Are you making any St. Patrick’s Day treats for the kids?  Don’t forget to wear green!

    I haven’t made any yet but those are really cute. They could be used for a kids birthday party too!
