Pop Rocks Lollipops

These pop rocks lollipops might be one of my favorite ideas ever for the Fourth of July. I first saw them on a website that no longer exists and knew they’d be a big hit with my kids!

To make them, you’ll need a star shaped lollipop mold, white candy melt, lollipop sticks, and blue or red pop rocks.  {The blue pop rocks tend to look green once they’re in the chocolate so if red is available, you may want to use those.}

Grab the supplies easily by clicking the photos below for doorstep delivery.

Fill the bottom of each star in the lollipop mold with pop rocks.  Be generous so the kids get a really good popping effect when they eat them.

Melt the white candy melt according to package instructions then carefully pour the melted candy melt on top of the pop rocks, filling the molds.  Lay the lollipop stick into the space on the mold then lightly tap to remove any air bubbles.

Place the mold on a flat surface in the fridge or freezer until the lollipops have hardened completely.

Gently pop the lollipops out of the mold.

These pop rocks lollipops are such a fun treat for the kids.  They love the exploding pop rocks and they’re just perfect for the fourth of July!

    This is a great idea! My boys would think these were awesome. Thanks for the idea. I may have to run out and find a star mold really fast! 🙂
