Painting Party Invitations

My baby is about to turn four {how did that happen?} and we’re celebrating with a painting party this weekend.  Over the next week I’ll be sharing some of the details of the party, starting with these colorful painting party invitations.

You may remember a few weeks ago when I shared my creative lettering experiment and doodled a fun font for the birthday invitation.  I didn’t want to try to replicate that eight times so I scanned it into the computer and added the party information below it.  I printed eight copies and then let Tate paint them with watercolors.

She did such a great job and they turned out to be colorful and cute.  And someone was very pleased that she got to help with the party plans.

I found the perfect blank paint invitations at a thrift store and I used bright-colored washi tape to attach Tate’s masterpiece invitations to them.

The painting party invitations turned out just as I had envisioned and set the mood for our upcoming artistic bash!
