Morning Coffee #DeliciousPairings

Since my parents moved to Texas {and right into our neighborhood}, Tate and I have a fun morning tradition. Most days, after we drop the kids at school, we head to my parents’ house for morning coffee.  We all love this tradition of starting our day together.

This week I decided to bring a little treat over.
#DeliciousPairings

When I was at Sam’s Club last week, I picked up a large package of Starbucks Limited Edition Holiday Blend coffee along with a package of mini cinnamon rolls from the bakery.  The package of coffee is so big that it’ll last me right through Christmas.  {To keep it fresh in that big bag, I always make sure I have an airtight seal on my coffee and sometimes I keep it in the freezer.}

I’m a huge fan of Starbucks Holiday Blend and although I don’t buy Starbucks coffee to drink every day, I do buy the Holiday Blend every single year … it’s one of those things that just makes it feel more like Christmas to me.

For coffee with my parents, I dug out some paper cups that I found in the Dollar Spot a month or so ago and embellished them with little paper sleeves with washi tape stars.

I packed up the cups, the coffee, and a little morning snack and took it to my parents’ house.

We enjoyed the richness of the coffee by itself …

… and then paired it with the delicious mini cinnamon rolls.  The pairing of the two was perfect!  The cinnamon flavor in the rolls really brought out the complementary notes in the coffee.  I can’t wait to eat some with pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving!

I love having morning coffee with my parents and Starbucks Holiday Blend and cinnamon rolls were the icing on the cake!

What are your coffee traditions?

{Sam’s Club will open at 7 a.m. on Black Friday and will greet members with free Starbucks Holiday Blend coffee and Artisan Fresh pastries, while supplies last.}

    I love that tradition! I’m sure they do too! I think Puppy wants in on the cinnamon rolls!

    I am so jealous you live so close to your parents. The image of your mother’s hand nearly brought tears. So special, you are so lucky. And I love the decorated cups, adorable!

    What a great tradition. Say hi to your folks for me.

    I don’t have a particular tradition but every morning I have Nabob Full City dark roast and every evening I must have a Starbucks Dark Roast Decaf. Love them both – and really, if decaf has to be had – why settle for less than the best?

    Someone was feeling very deprived – sometimes a lovely lap is not enough 🙂 – in that last photo.
    I love your tradition. I love the sleeves you made. You’re Blessed. And so are they.
    Enjoy!

    Typically I wait until the first nap of the day to have my cup of coffee then I enjoy it while I do my devotional, write a blog post & catch up on emails.

    I love coffee, and this was really nice. I can’t function in the morning until I’ve had a couple cups. I’ve never bought a flavor especially for the holidays before, but I think I may have to head back to Sam’s and get another bag of this. It was fabulous!
