A Thanksgiving Banner {Martha Stewart Crafts Circle Edge Punch}

I recently had the chance to review a great new product and it’s fantastic!  I expected to like the product {after all, I’m a huge Martha Stewart fan} but I loved it!  The design and engineering of this new tool is brilliant.  And look at the cute Thanksgiving banner I made!

Martha Stewart Circle Edge Punch

Martha Stewart Crafts has just launched this innovative new tool: the circle edge punch starter set.

Martha Stewart Circle Edge Punch

It turns a regular piece of paper into a cute punched circle.  And it’s done without any hassle.  I didn’t have to line up edges or worry about measurements.

Martha Stewart Circle Edge Punch

The circle edge punch looks like this.

To use it, you set the ruler to the size you want {it can cut seven different sizes}, then place the center of your paper over the circle on the base and place the magnetic rotating knob over it.  The punch is also magnetized and snaps itself into place.  See?  Brilliant engineering, right?

You simply press the punch down, then lift it up and use the rotating knob to turn the paper.  The magnet will only turn so far before it snaps into the proper place for the next punch.  Punch, repeat, punch, repeat.  So simple.

And you know what I loved?  It’s not messy.  All those little punched-out pieces are collected in the base and you just tip them into the garbage can.

You end up with this cute punched circle.  Or a pile of them.

I glued white circles over brown circles and added some sticker letters to make a thankful banner.  I threaded twine through the holes in the tops of the circles and hung it in the dining room where we’ll enjoy our big feast next week.

I loved testing this punch … my mind is racing with all the fun party decor I can make.  It’s truly a great addition to the craft closet!

    So sweet. I’ve been thinking in indulging me with those gizmos. They really can add an extra touch to the crafts. I have none but I’ll look where to find them in my Country and start dreaming.
    Yours is lovely, lovely!
