Summers in Texas are hot but I’ve come up with a great way to conquer the heat on our fun adventure outings this summer. Delicious minty peach iced tea served in reusable DIY monogrammed water bottles is the perfect way to stay cool and beat the heat!
I found bright-colored water bottles during a recent shopping trip but you can find lots of choices online as well. You can use glass or plastic reusable bottles and both are a great way to help the environment and decrease the amount of disposable plastic we add to landfills.
I added colorful vinyl monograms made with my cutting machine: bold, athletic-style letters for my boys …
… and something a bit curly and cute for my girls.
These reusable bottles will be perfect for our summer outings and our upcoming trip to the beach.
But the best part is what goes inside these colorful bottles. I recently filled our monogrammed bottles with minty peach iced tea and it’s my new favorite iced tea recipe!
To make minty peach iced tea, you’ll need Bigelow Earl Grey tea and Bigelow Perfect Peach tea. I drink iced tea all the time and I can’t believe I’ve never thought to blend two tea flavors together before. Let me tell you, it’s delicious! And Bigelow tea is my favorite. I love the bold, natural flavors and the wide variety of herbal tea choices.
Brew the two flavors of tea together along with fresh mint leaves. Allow it to steep till the tea is dark and full of infused mint flavor.
Then all you do is add some sugar, some cold water, and the tea is almost ready to serve.
{See the printable recipe card below for ingredient measurements and full instructions.}
While the tea is brewing, pour peach nectar into ice cube trays {I used long ice cube trays so the cubes would fit through the necks of the water bottles} and freeze.
The peach nectar cubes add a sweet burst of flavor to the tea as they melt.
Pour the tea into the monogrammed water bottles and add a peach nectar cube. You’re ready to tackle the heat in the great outdoors!

That tea sounds wonderful! I just buy Lipton Green Tea bags. The peach and berry are my favorites. LOVE the water bottle idea. How do you wash the bottles with the monogram? Does it not come off? Stacie xo
I am such a tea person. Especially peach. I like the idea of the monogrammed water bottles. Shonda from NTB.
I love the idea of a slender ice cube, which I guess is not really a cube. 😉 This looks like a delicious way to stay cool and I love the monograms. 🙂
I LOVE tea…and these are so cute!! I haven’t had Bigelow in awhile, but I love peach tea…I need to try this.
Really cute, Randi!
Love the idea of freezing the peach nectar in those long ice cube shapes…I’ve got to try that. And your tea sounds amazing! Super cute bottles too.

Does the monograms stay on for washing?
Debi, I responded personally to the comment above but let me add it here as well. They go through the dishwasher with no problem. I’m sure certain cheap vinyl may not adhere as well but most vinyl will stay on for a long time.
