Do you need a place to drop your rings or trinkets at night? This monogram ring dish is a fun and whimsical accessory that’s perfect for a teen or tween’s room or a cute and simple gift idea. However you choose to make it, or whatever shape you use, it’s completely easy and takes very little time.
To make a monogram ring dish, you’ll need air dry clay {I like the light, airy model magic variety} in any color you choose and a cookie cutter in the initial of your choice. You could also use a shape other than a monogram. A small house would be super cute or even just a geometric shape.
Using a rolling pin, roll the clay out until it’s about 1/4 inch thick and equal throughout.
Cut the shape you desire. If you’re using a monogram that has a hole or holes in it {like an R}, you may want to cut the hole a bit smaller than the cookie cutter hole so rings won’t fall through.
To shape it, place a small dish upside down and drape the clay shape over top. Let it dry for a number of hours until it no longer feels at all damp …
… then carefully remove it from the dish, turn the dish right side up, and place the monogram inside it. This will allow the other side to dry while still maintaining the shape.
Once completely dry, the monogram ring dish is ready to use as a little trinket or ring dish.
Place it on a dresser or in the bathroom for a quick and easy place to drop rings and jewelry.

Such a cute idea! I’ve used oven bake clay, but have yet to dry air dry clay – this just might be the first project I try. Thanks for sharing!
