Make Your Own Chalk

Tate’s second birthday is coming up {how did that happen?} and I’ve been busy planning and crafting.  She’s having a Drips and Drops theme {which translates to sprinklers and ice cream cones} so when I found a cute silicon ice cream mold on major clearance, I grabbed it.

This week I used the mold to make sidewalk chalk party favors.  I used a recipe found at Cake and it was so simple to make.  They turned out really cute and the chalk works so well.

One thing crossed off the birthday prep list.

That’s a clever theme for a birthday party! I never would have guessed that was chalk either. Cool.

Awesome!! My kids go through sidewalk chalk so fast, it will be great to have them help make some new chalk, and I have another use for those silicone molds!
