Love Language Coffee Mug

The machine used to make this love language coffee mug was provided by Cricut. All thoughts and opinions are my own.  This post contains affiliate links.

Coffee and the color orange are two of my favorite things and I just combined them in a really fun way using my Cricut Explore Air 2.  From now on, I’ll be sipping my coffee in style out of this love language coffee mug that sums up the way I feel about that rich, dark liquid!

To make this coffee mug project, you’ll need any style of coffee mug.

You’ll also need vinyl in a coordinating color.  Outdoor vinyl works well for a project like this because it’s a lot hardier but you can use any vinyl you want.  Since I’ll be hand-washing this cup, I’ll use caution with the personalized area.

I used Cricut Design Space to create the message.  I chose a font I liked {I love a typewriter style font!} and decreased the space between lines so it would fit better.

Sometimes adding text or an image to a round object gets tricky but as you’re placing the vinyl with the transfer paper attached, cut a small slit in the middle of the top of the transfer paper.  Place one side of the image down, then use that slit to stretch the rest slightly so that it will line up evenly.  Does that make sense?  I wish I had taken a photo but if you sew, you’re using the same technique you would to fit a piece of fabric around a curve.

It’s as easy as that!  Just a few minutes of crafting and you’ve got a new personalized coffee cup that sums up all those good feelings about coffee {wink}!
