We’re big slushie fans in our house and I love to mix up kool-aid slushies. They’re so cheap to make and they’re so good. Plus, you can control the amount of sugar you add and that’s always a bonus. This week, as I was mixing up another batch of slushies, I had a brainstorm: adding a little ice cream to a kool-aid slushie would turn it into a kool-aid cream slush, just like the cream slushes you can buy at Sonic!
Making a kool-aid cream slush takes just minutes. Blend together 1 package of any flavor of koolaid, 2 cups of cold water, 2 cups of crushed ice, and 1/4 cup of sugar. {You can increase the sugar if you like it really sweet but don’t forget that the ice cream will also add some sweetness.} When the slush is well mixed, add in 1 cup of vanilla ice cream and blend until the ingredients are completely mixed and the texture is creamy.
Serve in glasses with cute and colorful paper straws and you’ll be the most popular mom on the block {wink}! The kids will love this frozen treat and you’ll love how cheap it is to make! A total win for everyone, right?
