Today I’m sharing a sweet gift idea that is so simple to make: DIY scented infused clothespins. Infused with herbs and essential oils, these would make a great gift for a mother or grandmother who still hangs her clothes on the line {I’d love to live a little old-school and if I had more property, I’d be hanging clothes on a line every day!}. It’s a gift that’s perfect for Mother’s Day, a birthday, or even a special something for a lingerie shower.

To make DIY scented infused clothespins, you’ll need a pile of wooden clothespins {I used regular clothespins and vintage style} and a few essential oils in scents that would blend well with laundry {lavender, eucalyptus, and citrus are all great laundry-friendly scents but use whatever appeals to you}.
Place 2-3 drops of oil on each clothespin, let it soak in, and let the clothespins dry completely …
… then seal and store them in an airtight bag until you’re ready to use.
I also added fresh mint leaves to a bag of rosemary-infused clothespins, muddled the mint leaves slightly, and allowed the mint oils to infuse into the pins for a rosemary-mint blend that smells delightful.
When you’re ready to gift the infused scented clothespins, tie a bundle together with tulle or other pretty ribbon and wrap them in a cellophane bag or other airtight bag to preserve the infusion.
I’d love to hear: what oil scent would you use for infused clothespins?
