How to Make an Easter Basket

This Easter basket blog post is sponsored by Learning Express.  I hope you’ll pop over to the Learning Express website, like them on facebook, and head to the store to check out their Easter merchandise!

Easter is right around the corner and today I’m going to show you how to make a super cute {and very simple} Easter basket!  This basket is so quick to make that it would also be perfect for Easter-themed party favors … you would whip up a pile of them in no time!

how to make an easter basket

I started with a plain $1 pink pail that I bought at Party City.  You can find similar buckets at big box and dollar stores during Easter season.  I used my cutting machine to cut white ovals for ears and stuck smaller pink ovals in the middle {the ovals are cut from pink vinyl}.  If you don’t have a cutting machine, you can do this part manually with scissors.  You could also use pink paper instead of vinyl.

I also cut a small triangle from pink vinyl and stuck it on the front of the pail.  I deliberately gave the bunny a little lopsided nose to make him look a bit whimsical.

I drew the rest of the face on with a black Sharpie, keeping it simple with just a few key strokes …

So simple and so cute, huh?  All you have to do is fill it up and you’re all set for Easter morning.
