Hot Cocoa Mix {Neighbor Gifts}

We love to deliver a little something to our neighbors at Christmas time {my kids often deliver it as part of our 24 Days of Service}.  This year we’re giving jars of layered hot cocoa mix.

This is such a simple gift to make and it’s easy to make in bulk.  The kids can even help!

You can use storebought or homemade cocoa mix.  Pour it in until it fills 1/2 to 2/3 of the jar.

Sprinkle with a layer of chocolate chips {we used a variety of different kinds}.

And fill the rest of the jar with marshmallows.  We used some fun varieties this year: french vanilla marshmallows shaped like snowmen, gingerbread marshmallows shaped like little men, and small peppermint marshmallows.

We covered the tops with cupcake wrappers, screwed the lids on, wrapped a little yarn around them, and added our label.

A sweet and simple neighbor gift.

    I love this idea. Cool marshmallows! I am sure it will be another decade before we get those here. They are so cute.

    I need a quick hostess gift for today. Nothing like leaving things to the last minute!
