My oldest went to college out of state this fall and since he’s missing out on some of the Halloween fun we’ll be having around here, I decided to mail him a Halloween care package … or a scare package, as we’re calling it. And I whipped up a little printable that you can include if you decide to send your college kid or another faraway friend a care package too.
I bought a cheap Halloween bucket to hold some goodies {you can find these at the dollar store or most big box stores right now} …
… and bought a whole stash of treats: different types of Halloween candy and seasonal treats, protein bars, nuts, gum, and a few other snacks to tide him over between trips to the cafeteria.
I made this little spiderweb scare package printable {click to download and print your own copy}, printed it out and trimmed it, then taped it to a wooden skewer.
I filled the jack o’lantern bucket with all the sweet and savory treats …
… and stuck the printable on the stick in the middle.
I packaged the whole thing into a square box, padded it in, and shipped it off to my kiddo. I’m sure he’ll love receiving this scare package and will enjoy stocking up his dorm room snack cupboard.

this would be perfect for any one needing a bit of a pick me up. I am thinking about college kids here. They are too old for trick or treat but still love the goodies
