Do you ever leave a candy bucket out on your front porch on Halloween while you take your kiddos trick or treating? We’ve done that a few times and I always wonder if the first kid that arrives dumps the entire bucket into his bag and carries on his way. While this Halloween candy bucket sign won’t stop that kid, it is a gentle reminder to save some goodies for the next group of kids … and who can resist a little Halloween pun?
You can make a similar sign using a word processing program and a printer but I made this one with my Cricut machine. Using pens with my Cricut is one of my favorite things because you can whip up a cute sign or tag in just minutes and get an exact look every time.
All you need is a Cricut machine, the file I created {click on that link to take you directly to the saved project in Cricut Design Space}, white cardstock, a green standard grip cutting mat, and pens. I used a 1.0 black pen for this project but you could definitely use other colors or thicknesses.
The Cricut will draw the design and cut it out…
… so all you have to do is glue the tag to a wooden skewer or use tape or glue to attach it to the outside of the bucket.
It takes just a minute to create this sign for the candy bucket and, even if it doesn’t work to keep kids from grabbing handfuls, it’s definitely a cute addition to the bucket {wink}!
